Reflection: This group powerpoint presentation taught me how to collaborate with others. Communication does not only mean speaking and writing, but you also need to be able to listen to other people’s ideas and opinions. Our team members have had different ethnic backgrounds, therefore communicating in English was the only option. As a result, it improved my speaking as well as listening skills. Furthermore, writing such a major assignment of research outline improved my writing skills. Overall, these two assignments were great sources for improving my communication.

Reflection: The group presentation attached above consisted of three group members. This provided me an opportunity to collaborate with others and produce a presentation to teach others what I learned. I learned that you have to be committed to contribute equally because the award is also shared equally. I learned how to take authority while acknowledging ideas of everyone. Your team will not necessarily agree with all of your ideas so you must listen to their suggestions as well. In fact, conflicts will arise sometimes and you must know how to resolve them. Lastly, I learned the importance of preparing a contract at the beginning so appropriate alternatives could be taken in case a member does not contribute to his commitment.
